On June 12th communities across the country will be coming together for The Big Lunch, an annual event initiated by The Eden Project in 2009. A simple idea to get neighbours to come together in June, share food and have fun. Since it started thousands of Big Lunches have been organised, last year 7.2 million people took part, enjoying a Big Lunch in their streets or on their fields.
This year The Big Lunch has been set on June 12th to coincide with the Queen’s 90th birthday celebrations.
This will be the first Big Lunch for our Village, so in the spirit of the Eden Project, join us on the Sports Field on Sunday June 12.
