You would have received a leaflet by now through your letter box about The Big Picnic Lunch on Sunday 12th June, 1-4 pm.
We hope we’ll see many of you on the day, there will be various fun activities going on from 1 till 4 pm such as Fishing the Duck, Tombola, Hoopla, Lucky Dip, Giant Twister, Snakes and Ladders, Raffle and Music.
We have also organised a few timed events, starting with judging the best Fancy Dress at 1:45. Followed by The Balloon and Spoon at 2:15; The Sack Race at 2:30 and The Obstacle Course at 2:45.
Not to be missed the Dog Show at 3, we will be choosing the Best Waggy Tail, the Cutest Dog, the Best Behaved Dog and Owner and the Best 6 Legs. Finishing the day off with the traditional Tug of War at 3:30 (times subject to minor changes). There will be medals, certificates and prizes.
We’ve had tremendous support from the local shops and businesses, providing us with wonderful prizes, like Breakfast for 2 at Pop In, Meal for 2 from The Crown, Cut and Blow Dry from London Hair Company and many, many more. Raffle winners will be announced at 3:45.
Please bring your picnic with you. We will also be selling strawberries and cream, scones and jam, crisps, coffee, tea, home-made non-alcoholic punch and some soft drinks.
We are watching the weather forecast on a daily basis, fingers crossed we will have a super day full of fun and strong community spirit.
