Who can join?
SOVRA membership is open to all residents of the Shirley Oaks Village over the age of 16 years. SOVRA is bound by our SOVRA Constitution which is in place and has been voted in and agreed at our AGM meeting.
The boundary of the village is defined from the entry A232 Wickham Road into Shirley Oaks Road and to the exit from Primrose Lane onto the A215 Shirley Road, Croydon.

How can you join?
If you would like to join SOVRA as a resident, please download and complete the Residents' Membership Form and return it together with the membership fee to the address provided on the form.
Friends of SOVRA
Any individual who has a close connection to one or more of the Shirley Oaks Village's residents or has a genuine interest in the Shirley Oaks Village can request membership as a Friend of the Shirley Oaks Village using this Friends of SOVRA Membership Form.
Membership fee
The General Meeting approved a membership fee of £6 per member per year. Members are defined as individual residents. The SOVRA constitution sets this out in detail and covers the fee at an individual resident level and not on a household basis.
Annual General Meeting (AGM)
SOVRA AGM is usually scheduled annually. For 2026 the details and agenda is published on the 2026 AGM event link here.
If you are unable to attend the AGM in person, and wish to vote by proxy for the Committee Officers, please download and complete the Proxy Voting Form 2026.
Please complete and return the proxy voting form at latest 7 days before the AGM meeting, send electronically to the SOVRA e-mail address, or print a hard copy and hand in to 4, Iris Close.
