SOVRA and residents were delighted to come together for the switch on of the Christmas tree.

The tree has been donated by the Shirley Oaks Management team and installed taking into consideration safety on the parkland.

The weather on the afternoon managed to stay mostly dry.  This year, we were lucky to plan in and have visit on the event Croydon’s civic mayor and local MP to help us switch on the lights and to join in with some festive beverages & music.

SOVRA would like to thank our civic mayor Councillor Richard Chatterjee and Natasha Irons MP for talking time out to visit us on the day, and our committee member Alex for planning their visit.  A special thanks for resident Caroline for the hire of the second gazebo on the day, and all residents who came and celebrated with us.
